ARTS AND CRAFTS
Marthaville, 200 Wollombi Road, Cessnock
Marthaville House Art and Craft Centre has reopened to the public after COVID-19 restrictions forced it to close. The historic house is open from 10am Friday and Saturday, with locally-made crafts and handiwork for sale.
The Fireshed Gallery, Wollombi
TAOTOCS (The Artists of the Old Church Studio) are holding an exhibition at Wollombi Cultural Centre's Fireshed Gallery from July 4 to 19. A spectacular variety of paintings, delicate watercolours, ink drawings, stunning acrylics, lustrous oils, prints and cards are on display from the group of artists, who meet weekly at an old church in Cessnock.

The Handmade in the Hunter markets will be held at Kevin Sobels Wines (corner Broke and Halls Road, Pokolbin) on Saturday and Sunday from 9am-3pm.

The Corner Block Markets will be held at the corner of Wollombi Road and Great North Road, Wollombi on Sunday from 9am to 2pm.
SCHOOL HOLIDAY FUN
PCYC Cessnock, 1B Short Street (access via Buckland Avenue)
School holiday program, for kids aged 5-12, runs weekdays until Friday, July 17, with sports, games and creative activities on offer. The Australian Red Cross Lifeblood mobile donor centre will be in the Charlton Street carpark in Cessnock this week (July 8-10). The centre will be open 1pm to 7pm Wednesday and Thursday, and 9.30am to 3.30pm Friday. Appointments are essential on 13 14 95 or at lifeblood.com.au.

TOASTMASTERS RESUME MEETINGS

Cessnock City Toastmasters Club will resume meeting at Cessnock Leagues Club on Monday, July 13. If you're emerging from isolation and are keen to talk to new people, try Toastmasters!
