We've known about environmental damage, pollution, and climate change since before they were born.
Kids are using the technology of the day, just as we used the technology of our day.
Mostly we did not ride a horse to school as many of our grandparents did. If we needed transport we caught the bus or we were driven to school in the family car.
Kids do not create the world they are born into.
When we ignore kids' protests by telling them to "stop spending the entire day on a computer which involves electricity" in order that they be taken seriously, we are blaming them for the problem.
We may be uncomfortable with messages from kids and their School Strike 4 Climate Day of Action, and so we should be.
We've not done enough to mitigate the climate damage that was mainly caused by our addiction to fossil fuels over the last 50 years.
The kids are not the problem, they are the messengers.
