Nicholas Jackson faced Maitland Local Court on Thursday charged with theft, weapon and drug offences.
Police arrested the 32-year-old after they searched a home on Northcote Street at Aberdare on Tuesday as part of an investigation into stolen property.
There, they allegedly found a trailer containing more than 12 decommissioned air conditioner units, a revolver gun, ammunition and methylamphetamine as well as power tools and building materials believed to have been stolen.
Mr Jackson was charged with five counts, including dealing with property that is the proceeds of crime, possessing an unauthorised pistol and possessing a prohibited drug.
He was refused bail by police ahead of his first court appearance.
Mr Jackson did not enter a plea or apply for bail when he faced Maitland Local Court on Thursday - he will remain behind bars until his next court date.
Magistrate John Chicken adjourned the matter to Cessnock Local Court on December 16.
Police said investigations into the origins of the air conditioning units were ongoing.
