The couple were married at Christ Church Mount Vincent on December 14, 1946.
The bride, then 20, was a Mulbring girl, while the groom, a month off turning 24, hailed from Weston.
"It was a lovely sunny morning, then a storm came over just as I was about to go to the church," Mrs Wiseman recalls.
Like many couples of their era, they met at a local dance - they used to attend the Friday night dance at Abermain Plaza Hall, and the Saturday night dance at the Kurri Kurri Catholic Hall.
Mr and Mrs Wiseman made their home in Weston and raised three sons - Gavin, Barry and Kevin. They welcomed six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, with another due in April.
The couple played a lot of sport together - including tennis, golf and lawn bowls - and also enjoyed travelling, with a trip to Western Australia on the Indian-Pacific among the highlights.
"We've had a good life - we've had our ups and downs, but we rode the storm together," Mrs Wiseman said.
The couple now live at the RFBI Masonic Village at Kurri Kurri, where they celebrated their anniversary with a cake on Tuesday.
