Fun for everyone at the 2020 Cessnock Show | PHOTOS, PROGRAM

The 2020 Cessnock Show is underway at Cessnock Showground, with plenty of fun for the whole family throughout Friday and Saturday.

The weather forecast looks promising too - with tops of 27 and 26 degrees predicted, and only a chance of a shower on Saturday afternoon.

The show kicked off on Friday morning with horse events, and will continue throughout Friday and Saturday.

Carnival rides open at 5pm Friday, with boxing, wrestling, motorbikes and mini-trotter demonstrations also on the program.

The horse events will start at 8.30am Saturday, and rides will open from noon.

Saturday's highlights include a woodchop at 2pm, sheep shearing and sheep dog demonstrations, the ever-popular demolition derby and fireworks.

Tickets are $10 adults, $5 kids (5-16)/pension/concession, free for children under five, and $25 for a family pass.

The showground is located at 111 Mount View Road. Contact the showground on 4990 1181 for more information.
