WALKING GROUP
Cessnock Family Support Service has started a walking group to help promote exercise and social connection in the community.
The 30-minute walks will be held each Wednesday, rotating every three weeks between Turner Park, Aberdare (starting May 4); Miller Park, Branxton (from May 11) and Maybury Peace Park, Weston (from May 18).
Each walk will start with a light stretching session, followed by a walk and a mindful warm-down. All ages are welcome. For more information or to register, call 4990 4507, or show up at 9.15am on the day.

Handmade in the Hunter's Mother's Day market will be held at Sobels Wines on Saturday from 9am to 2pm.
PLANT SALE
A plant sale will be held at Christ Church Mount Vincent this Saturday from 10am to 3pm.
TECH WORKSHOPS FOR SENIORS
From May to December 2022, Cessnock and Kurri Kurri Libraries have more than 50 free technology workshops on offer for seniors living in the Cessnock local government area.
The first few workshops include Building Digital Skills - Scams (Cessnock Library, Thursday, May 5 at 10am); Introduction to the Internet (Kurri Library, Monday, May 9 at 10am); Taking a great photo with your smartphone (Kurri Library, Tuesday, June 7 at 10am).
