Cessnock Combined Probus Club has resumed its activities after a seven-month break due to the COVID shutdown.

The club formed in October 2019, just five months before the coronavirus forced the suspension of activities.
Members reunited at Poppethead Park, Kitchener on October 15, enjoying coffee, tea cake and a chat, before heading across the road for lunch at the Khartoum Hotel.
Club spokesperson Christine Evans said it was a fun day seeing familiar - but recently housebound - faces.
"It was good to catch up generally and hear how they were all dealing with COVID restrictions," she said.
"All participants felt like they had been 'let out of jail'!"

Probus is a club for retirees and semi-retirees and the motto is fun, friendship and fellowship.
The Cessnock Combined Probus Club was the first new Probus club in the Hunter Valley for more than 20 years.
The club will hold its first general meeting in the New Year at its home venue, Cessnock Leagues Club on Tuesday, January 19 at 10.30am.
Visitors are welcome, but due to COVID rules, confirmed numbers are required.
