Cessnock Business Chamber vice-president Brad Burgoyne said it's a great opportunity to recognise business owners and employees who have gone "above and beyond" in what has been a challenging year.
"Opening our customer service nominations all year has seen amazing customer experience stories come out of the local community," he said.
"We only have two months left until the nominations close, and I urge everyone to acknowledge those who made our day."
Clint Ekert from Balloon Worx was announced as the monthly winner for August, nominated for his helpful and kind approach to solving a problem for a customer.
Mr Ekert is now in the running for the Chamber Choice award, which will be announced along with category winners at a gala presentation in December.
The awards have five main categories (hospitality and tourism, retail, trade and training, professional, and community and wellbeing), with 18 sub-categories.
Anyone who makes a nomination will go into the draw to win $100 in Cessnock Dollars.
Nominations can be completed online at cessnockchamber.com.au or via a QR code on the awards poster which can be found in many local businesses.
